Abstract

The screw-type pile has a blade following a spiral path, by means of which it is driven into the ground. There are a number of spiral blades (2) fixed to the pile (1) at intervals in the axial direction, the intervals concerned being the pitch of the spiral. Each blade can extend through one complete turn, with its ends overlapping. The blades can alternatively extend each through several turns, and their ends can be offset in relation to each other in the peripheral direction. The distance between the multi-turn first blade and the second one can be designed to suit the structure of the subsoil into which the pile is driven.
