Abstract

Arrangement is for connecting three or more rail sections (1-3) for a suspended transport system e.g. in a slaughter-house. Each suspended load-carrying element has a hooked end, bearing on the upper surface of the rail and extends downwards on one side of the rail only. A first length of rail (5) connects two of the sections (1, 2) whilst each of the other sections (3) has a second length of rail (6) extending to a point short of the first length (5). A removable bridge piece (8) is capable of connecting the first (5) with the second (6) length and has a support surface (9) inclined upward from the corresponding upper rail surfaces.
