Abstract

The boat is of the type having two bottom panels (1, 2) whose inward longitudinal edges (3, 4) are hinged at the centre whilst the outward longitudinal edges (6, 7) are curved over at least part of their length so as to taper towards the bow, and two side panels (8, 9) whose lower edges longitudinal (6, 7) are curved over the same length to taper towards the bow, the longitudinal edges (6, 7) of sides and bottom panels being hinged together. The inward longitudinal edges (3, 4) of the bottom panels are curved in a direction opposite to that of the curvature of their outward edges (6, 7). The inward bottom panel edges may be hinged to a resilient central panel (5) extending the full length of the boat.
