Abstract

Preformed partition wall elements give sound and heat insulation. Each element is a square plate with an inlay which has longitudinal grooves on at least one edge. The inlay consists of light, stiff material and the grooved parts have connectors which fit the adjacent grooves when the elements are laid together. The elements are then fixed by a binding agent sprayed into the grooves under pressure. Pref. the inlay is made of material which has the same mechanical resistance of concrete but of considerably lower density which is achieved by embedding styropore balls in it. More pref. the material used is synthetic alpha gypsum a mixt. of alpha and beta gypsum, or concrete itself.
