Abstract

The number to be called in stored in a memory, from which it is read, under automatic control, and transmitted to make the connection. A detector checks if the connection is made, and if not repeats the process up to a predetermined number of times. Preferably the interval between successive attempt is regulated. More than one number can be stored, and calls attempted in a predetermined order. Block-schematic circuits of these and other variants are described. When a predetermined period has lapsed, the call up of a number is cancelled by a control cct.
