Abstract

In a pneumatic tyre having a tread reinforced by a layer of metal yarns protecting the tread plies which lie on a subconstruction with meridionally directed cord ply yarns, the reinforcing layer yarns take the form of a braided or interwoven net with a mesh width 1.5-6.0 times the yarn dia, which is pref. 0.1-0.3 mm, from metal with modulus of elasticity of 1x104-5x105 kp/cm2.
