Abstract

The air extracts the residual moisture present from the use of water in the formation of the glass fibres, by evaporation from the fibres and also from the pockets created in the cross-wound bobbins. The bobbins are rotated in the air flow, directed at several levels, to ensure that the water is extracted, making the bobbins of glass fibre material instantly available for use.
