The invention relates to a height-adjustable leg for camping articles, comprising a first profile and a second profile, the second profile being inserted axially movably into the first profile, a first fixing means being assigned to the first profile, a second fixing means being assigned to the second profile. The invention relates to a height-adjustable leg for camping articles, including a first profile and a second profile, the second profile being inserted axially movably into the first profile, a first fixing means being assigned to the first profile, a second fixing means being assigned to the second profile.
Camping articles, for example camping tables or camping chairs or else steps for entering caravans or mobile homes, are often set up outdoors on uneven terrain. It is therefore necessary for the camping articles to be equipped with height-adjustable legs so as to be able to set up the camping articles stably and without tilting. This applies in particular to four-legged camping articles; in these, it may happen that not all legs come into contact with the uneven ground.Camping articles, for example camping tables or camping chairs or else steps for entering caravans or mobile homes, are often set up outdoors on uneven terrain. It is therefore necessary for the camping articles to be equipped with height-adjustable legs so as to be able to set up the camping articles stably and without tilting. This applies in particular to four-legged camping articles; in this, it may happen that not all legs come in contact with the uneven ground.
To solve this problem, it has already long been known to assign an adjustment means in the form of an adjustment screw to the free end of at least one leg of the camping article. In this case, a hole having a thread is placed in the free end of the profile forming the leg. An adjustment screw, to which a foot may be assigned, is screwed into or out of the hole until all legs of the camping article stand evenly on the ground. Adjustment means of this type have the drawback that both the screw and the thread are exposed and are thus subjected to humidity and soiling. Further, it is a tedious process setting up the legs of the camping article. To solve this problem, it has already long been known to assign an adjustment means in the form of an adjustment screw to the free end or at least one leg of the camping article. The object of the invention is to provide a height-adjustable leg for camping articles which makes possible particularly rapid adjustment of the leg length and can further be loaded with a large weight force. The object of the invention is to provide a height-adjustable leg for camping articles which makes possible particularly rapid adjustment of the leg length and can be further loaded with a large weight force.
This object is achieved by the features of claim 1. The dependent claims refer to advantageous embodiments. This object is achieved by the features of claim 1. The dependent claims refer to advantageous expires.
To achieve the object, in the fixing position the first fixing means engages in the second fixing means. In the height-adjustable leg according to the invention for camping articles, the length of the leg is adjusted in that the second profile is selectively slid into or pulled out of the first profile more or less. Thus, the first fixing means can nonpositively engage in the second fixing means. Such fixing devices allow a simple and stepless height adjustment. Alternatively, the first fixing means can engage positively in the second fixing means. This connection makes possible very rapid adjustment of the leg as well as a connection which can be loaded with a high compressive force. To achieve the object, in the fixing position the first fixing means engages in the second fixing means. Thus, the first fixing means can non-positively engage in the second fixing means. Such fixing devices allow a simple and stepless height adjustment. Alternatively, the first fixing means can positively engage in the second fixing means. This connection makes possible very rapid adjustment of the leg as well as a connection which can be loaded with a high compressive force.
In a first advantageous embodiment, the first fixing means can be brought into a fixing position and into a displacement position. In the fixing position, the first fixing means positively and/or non-positively engages in the second fixing means and the second profile is locked relative to the first profile. In the displacement position, the first fixing means is released from, preferably spaced apart from, the second fixing means. In the displacement position, the second profile can be displaced relative to the first profile. In a first advantageous embodiment, the first fixing means can be brought into a fixing position and into a displacement position. In the displacement position, the first fixing means is released from, preferably spaced apart from, the second fixing means. In the displacement position, the second profile can be displaced relative to the first profile.
The first fixing means may have spring means which automatically bring the fixing means into the fixing position. This ensures that the second profile is locked relative to the first profile when the fixing means is not actuated. The second profile thus cannot be displaced relative to the first profile unintentionally. The first fixing means may have spring means which automatically brings the fixing into the fixing position. This ensures that the second profile is locked relative to the first profile when the fixing means is not actuated. The second profile thus cannot be relative to the first profile unintentionally.
The second fixing means may have second holding means in the form of a groove. In the fixing position, the first holding means engages in the second holding means, which is formed in the form of a groove, and causes a non-positive connection, so that the second profile is blocked relative to the first profile. In the process, the first holding means can come into contact with the groove base of the groove with pretension. The second fixing means may have second holding means in the form of a groove. In the process, the first holding means can come in contact with the groove base or the groove with pretension.
Alternatively, the first fixing means may have first holding means and the second fixing means may alternatively have second holding means which positively engage in one another in the fixing position. The two holding means are matched to one another in such a way that the height-adjustable leg can be subjected to a large load in the fixing position. Further, the holding means are formed in such a way that they make possible simple release of the fixing means and displacement of the two profiles relative to one another.Alternatively, the first fixing means may have first holding means and the second fixing means may alternatively have second holding means which positively engage in one in the fixing position. The two holding means are matched to one in such a way that the height-adjustable leg can be subjected to a large load in the fixing position. Further, the holding means are formed in such a way that they make possible simple release or the fixing means and displacement of the two profiles relative to one another.
The first holding means may be formed as a toothed wheel segment. In this case, the toothed wheel segment has protruding teeth which are arranged along an arc. The teeth of the toothed segment positively engage in the second holding means. The first holding means may be formed as a toothed wheel segment. If the second holding means is designed as a groove, the teeth of the first holding means cause a high local surface pressure compared to the second holding means, resulting in a high clamping force. If the second holding means is designed as a groove, the teeth of the first holding means cause a high local surface pressure compared to the second holding means, resulting in a high clamping force.
A hand gear, which is fastened to the first fixing means in an articulated manner and held in the fixing position automatically by the spring means, may be assigned to the first holding means. Preferably, the hand gear is formed as a rocker hand gear and has a handle on one side of the joint and the first holding means on the other side of the joint. When the hand gear is pressed, the first holding means is spaced apart from the second fixing means. When the hand gear is released, the hand gear is automatically brought by the spring means into the fixing position, in which the first holding means engages positively and/or non-positively in the second holding means. A fixing means of this type is particularly simple to operate and makes possible very rapid adjustment of the height-adjustable leg. Further, the spring-loaded fixing means that it can be subjected to a large load. As a result, not only is the height-adjustable leg useable for camping tables and the like, but it may also be used as a height-adjustable leg of a camping chair.A hand gear, which is fastened to the first fixing means in an articulated manner and hero in the fixing position automatically by the spring means, may be assigned to the first holding means. Further, the spring-loaded fixing means that it can be subjected to a large load. As a result, the height-adjustable leg is usable for camping tables and the like, but it may also be used as a height-adjustable leg or a camping chair.
The hand gear is preferably hinged to the first fixing means in such a way that the contact pressure of the first fixing means to the second fixing means is increased when a load is applied to the height-adjustable leg. This results in a self-reinforcing nonpositive connection which can carry high loads. The hand gear is preferably hinged to the first fixing means in such a way that the contact pressure of the first fixing means to the second fixing means is increased when a load is applied to the height-adjustable leg. This results in a self-reinforcing non-positive connection which can carry high loads.
The second holding means may extend along the second profile. This results in a high adjustability of the height-adjustable leg. The second profile may be inserted fully into the first profile, and in addition may be pulled almost completely out of the first profile. As a result, not only can the height-adjustable leg be adapted particularly well to uneven grounds, but the height-adjustable leg also makes it possible to adapt the camping article to users of different sizes. The second holding means may extend along the second profile. The second holding element may have projections and recesses for positively receiving the first holding means. The teeth of the first holding means, for example, engage in the recesses and thus bring about a positive fit. A groove extending in the longitudinal direction may be inserted in the second profile, the second holding means being arranged through or in the groove. This makes it possible to configure the first profile as a round profile. Further, the user can be prevented from engaging in the second holding means.A groove extending in the longitudinal direction may be inserted in the second profile, the second holding means being arranged through or in the groove. This makes it possible to configure the first profile as a round profile. Further, the user can be prevented from engaging in the second holding means.
The teeth of the first holding means and second holding means may be formed in such a way that the positive fit is reinforced when a compressive force acts on the heightadjustable leg. This takes place in particular as a result of the configuration of the teeth of the toothed wheel segment and toothed rod. If the flanks of the toothed wheel segment and toothed rod are at an inclination to the horizontal in such a way that the toothed wheel segment slides into the toothed rod, this results in a self-reinforcing effect, in such a way that the first profile is securely fixed to the second profile. The teeth of the first holding means and second holding means may be formed in such a way that the positive fit is reinforced when a compressive force acts on the height-adjustable leg. A compression spring, which is braced on the end faces of the first profile and second profile, may be arranged in the first profile. This improves the adjustability of the heightadjustable leg. The second profile is slid into the first profile by exerting a compressive force on the height-adjustable leg. The second profile is pulled out of the first profile by unloading the height adjustable leg. As a result, the height-adjustable leg is particularly simple to adjust. Especially in connection with the non-positive connection of the first fixing means and the second fixing means, a simple, fast and stepless adjustability results.A compression spring, which is braced on the end faces of the first profile and second profile, may be arranged in the first profile. This improves the adjustability or the height adjustable leg. The second profile is slid into the first profile by pressing a compressive force on the height-adjustable leg. Especially in connection with the non-positive connection or the first fixing means and the second fixing means, a simple, fast and stepless adjustability results.
In this context, it is particularly advantageous that length-adjustment can take place in one-handed operation. The first fixing means can be released by gripping around the hand gear. Simultaneously, by exerting pressure, the second profile can be slid into the first profile so as to shorten the leg. As a result of the compression spring, the second profile is automatically moved out of the first profile upon unloading, in such a way that the leg is lengthened. As a result, the leg can be adjusted in a simple and particularly rapid manner using one hand.In this context, it is particularly advantageous that length adjustment can take place in one-handed operation. As a result, the leg can be adjusted in a simple and particularly rapid manner using one hand.
As a result of the stable locking of the fixing means according to the invention, the height-adjustable leg can be subjected to a high load. As a result, the height-adjustable leg is suitable for camping tables, camping chairs and steps. However, there is a further advantageous application in sport fishing, where the height-adjustable leg may be used for example for seats and boxes for sport fishers. As a result of the stable locking or the fixing means according to the invention, the height-adjustable leg can be subjected to a high load.
