With reference to FIG. 1, the sensing device 10 for detecting an alarm bell of a siren in the present invention includes a sound sensor 11, a signal filter 12, a signal amplifier 13, a microprocessor 14 and a signal transmitter 15. The siren may be a burglar alarm, an Infraredray (IR) alarm or a window/door alarm. Alternatively, the siren may be a smoke detector, a controller for a security system or a gas detector and so on. In other words, any security detectors or alarm devices installed at home or office can be the sirens for being detected in the present invention.
With reference to FIG. 2 to FIG. 6, the sensing device 10 in the present invention is mounted within a control box shell 21 and the control box shell 21 can be installed close to a side wall of a siren such as a smoke detector 20. As shown in FIG. 2, the control box shell 21 is preferred to be disposed close to an alarm bell of the smoke detector 20. The control box shell 21 can also be disposed close to the side wall of a central controller of a security system 30 as shown in FIG. 3. Alternatively, the control box shell 21 can be disposed close to the side wall of a gas detector 40 as shown in FIG. 4. The control box shell 21 with the sensing device 10 in the present invention can be disposed close to any sirens 50 as shown in FIG. 5. In addition, the siren 50 shown in FIG. 6 is an emergency alarm and the control box shell 21 is disposed at the side wall of the emergency alarm and an emergency pager 51 is carried by an elder or a physically challenged person. The emergency pager 51 can be a watch or a button and it is not limited herein. When the elder or the physically challenged person needs help, the emergency pager 51 is pushed to turn on the emergency alarm. Therefore, the control box shell 21 with the sensing device 10 will transmit the alarm information to a caregiver or a medical staff. Accordingly, at home or office, the control box shell 21 with the sensing device 10 in the present invention can be installed at any kinds of sirens. The sensing device 10 will transmit the alarm signal wirelessly to the mobile device for someone in charge when the siren is turned on.
The sound sensor 11 detects any sounds within an effective range of an environment and converts the detected sound to a first sound signal, and then outputs the first sound signal. For example, voice frequencies for most of the alarm bells of the sirens are between 1 KHz and 5 KHz, and the sound sensor 11 in the present invention can be a pickup. The pickup is set up to collect the sound with the frequencies between 1 KHz and 5 KHz. Therefore, the interruption from noises or human sound in a normal environment can be eliminated and erroneous determination from the sensing device 10 in the present invention can be mostly avoided.
The signal filter 12 is electrically connected to the sound sensor 11 and is configured to filter the first sound signal. The signal filter 12 is preferred to be a Band-Pass filter. However, according to different environments, the signal filter 12 in the present invention can also be a Low-Pass filter or a High-Pass filter, and it is not limited herein. According to the aforementioned description, the external sounds are excluded by the sound sensor 11 in the present invention and the noises are filtered by implementing the signal filter 12 to obtain better signal qualities.
The signal amplifier 13 is electrically connected to the signal filter 12 to amplify the first sound signal filtered by the signal filter 12 to provide a proper signal waveform for the microprocessor 14. Therefore, the proper signal waveform is used in the following signal comparison. The microprocessor 14 is electrically connected to the signal amplifier 13 and includes a memory 141. The memory 141 stores a second sound signal. The microprocessor 14 receives the first sound signal amplified by the signal amplifier 13 and compares the first sound signal with the second sound signal stored in the memory 141. If a comparison result is that the first sound signal matches the second sound signal, a decision signal is outputted in accordance with the comparison result. If the first sound signal doesn’t match the second sound signal, the decision signal is not outputted. In addition, it should be noted that the technical procedure to perform the signal comparison by the microprocessor 14 and the memory 141 is well known for the person with ordinary skill in the art, and the detailed description thereof is omitted herein.
The signal transmitter 15 is electrically connected to the microprocessor 14 and configured to receive the decision signal to output an alarm signal. If the signal transmitter 15 receives the decision signal outputted from the microprocessor 14, it represents that the alarm bell of the siren is turned on and the signal transmitter 15 outputs the alarm signal to a mobile device, a desktop or a server. The electronic device, such as a smart phone, a laptop or a smart watch, can be the mobile device connected to the sensing device 10 in the present invention. In the present invention, the alarm signal can be a wireless radio signal, such as a radio frequency (RF) signal, and the signal transmitter 15 transmits the alarm signal to the mobile device, the desktop or the server with a wireless signal receiver via an antenna. If the mobile device is within the effective range of the signal transmission of the alarm signal, the mobile device can receive the alarm signal directly. If the mobile device is not within the effective range of the signal transmission of the alarm signal, the alarm signal can be transmitted to the desktop or the server first and then the desktop or the server will relay the alarm information to the mobile device of the user via a telecommunication protocol of Internet.
Alternatively, in a different embodiment, the sensing device 10 in the present invention further includes a wireless network adapter 16, as shown in FIG. 7. The wireless network adapter 16 is electrically connected to the signal transmitter 15 or the wireless network adapter 16 may be installed within the signal transmitter 15, and it is not limited herein. The alarm signal is transmitted to the mobile device 60 (such as a smart watch, a smart phone or a tablet and so on) of the user via the telecommunication protocol of Internet (such as network communication protocol of Wifi and so on) by the wireless network adapter 16, as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 8. Since the alarm signal of the sensing device 10 within the control box shell 21 and the data of the alarm bell of the corresponding siren are stored in application software (APP) of the mobile device 60 in advance and the alarm signal transmitted from the sensing device 10 within each of the control box shells 21 is different from each other, the application software will show where and which one of the sirens is turned on based on the comparison results of the software when the mobile device 60 receives the alarm signal.
In the sensing device 10 of the present invention, the second sound signal can be stored in the memory 141 of the microprocessor 14 by a learning and memorizing mode. The learning and memorizing mode is developed in the sensing device 10 of the present invention. In the learning and memorizing mode, the sound signal (such as the second sound signal) of the alarm bell of the siren, which is required to be memorized in the sensing device 10, is stored in the memory 141. For example, in the learning and memorizing mode, the user lets the siren generate the sound of the alarm bell, and the sensing device 10 detects the sound of the alarm bell and stores the corresponding second sound signal. Alternatively, in a different embodiment, the characteristics of the sound of the alarm bells, such as frequency, db value or sound pressure and so on, can be obtained from the product information of the siren, and the user inputs the frequency, the dB value or the sound pressure into the sensing device 10. When the alarm bell of the siren is turned on, the microprocessor 14 of the sensing device 10 determines the sound of the alarm bell of the siren is turned on in accordance with the inputted characteristics of the sound of the alarm bell.
In addition, in the learning and memorizing mode, the mobile device 60 will also store the alarm signal transmitted from the sensing device 10 within the control box shell 21. The application software of the mobile device 60 sets up the corresponding siren in accordance with the alarm signal. Therefore, when the mobile device 60 receives the alarm signal, the mobile device will know where or which one of the sirens is turned on. For example, in the learning and memorizing mode, the user turns on the siren somewhere and the sensing device 10 disposed close to the siren detects the sound of the alarm bell and transmits the alarm signal to the mobile device 60. The user sets up the siren corresponding to the alarm signal in the application software when the mobile device 60 receives the alarm signal. According to the aforementioned steps, the sirens located at any positions inside home or office and the corresponding alarm signal are stored at the application software of the mobile device 60 of the user. When an accident occurs and the siren is on, the mobile device 60 receives the alarm signal outputted from the sensing device 10 and the application software will find the corresponding siren in accordance with the alarm signal. Therefore, the application software will show where the siren is turned on and the user can handle the accident immediately.
By installing the sensing device 10 in the present invention close to the siren, the user will know immediately if some incidents happen at home or office and the user can handle them as soon as possible to avoid huge damage or loss.
