Abstract

An oscillator assembly comprising a piezo-electric oscillator member (10) having a tuning fork portion (10a) the base (10d) of which is integral with a frame portion (10e) which extends around the tuning fork portion (10a); two plates or box-shaped containers (8, 9) between which the oscillator member (10) is sandwiched; and an electrode (10g) (not visible) which has been provided on (the underside of) the oscillator member (10) and which is connected through a through-hole (13) in the said frame portion (10e) to an external electrode (16b). The other oscillator electrode (10f) directly contacts the other external electrode (16a) on the case (9). The through-hole (13) may be at the frame edge or spaced therefrom. The case may also have through-holes, when the electrodes are on outer surfaces. <IMAGE>
