Abstract

This invention discloses a method of shunting the electric urban rail vehicles without power. Output switch ( 2) , transformer, converter ( 4) and output cables ( 5) are provided at output end of the diesel generator set ( 1 ) in the shunting locomotive; an input interface ( 8) and an input switch ( 9) are provided for the current-collecting circuit ( 7) of the urban rail vehicles ( 6) . Output cables ( 5) are connected to the input interface ( 8) of the urban rail vehicles ( 6) , the output switch ( 2) and the input switch ( 9) are arranged at the position where shunting operation is carried out without power. The electricity output from the diesel generator set ( 1) in the shunting locomotive is sent to the urban rail vehicles ( 6) after passing the output switch ( 2) , transformer, converter ( 4) , output cables ( 5) and input switch ( 9) in order, to serve as the power supply to support the operation of the urban rail vehicles ( 6) . The urban rail vehicles ( 6) can get power from the shunting locomotive when no contact lines are available for power supply, which makes self-running shunting operation realized. Besides, it solves the problems that the vehicles have experienced during shunting operation such as hard but powerless pulling at uphills, powerless deceleration or brake at downhills, preventing damage to the subgrade from the heave axle of high-power shunting locomotives ( 10) .
