Abstract

A cover member covers a vehicle body functional component so that the cover member and the vehicle body functional component covered with the cover member serve as a part of a vehicle design to improve a design property. The cover structure for a saddle-type vehicle includes an air cleaner (36) disposed below a main frame (16), and a cover member (50) for covering the air cleaner (36). The air cleaner (36) includes an air cleaner box main body (60) and a lid member (61) fixed to the front surface of the air cleaner box main body (60) by fastening in the front-rear direction. The lid member (61) includes, at left and right sides, step parts which are recessed rearward. The left and right paired cover members (50) are attached to the air cleaner (36) so that the air cleaner (36) is covered from the lateral side. The cover member (50) includes an inward extending part (85) which extends inward in the vehicle width direction at the front end. The inward extending part (85) is fitted into the stepped part of the lid member (61). The lid member (61) and the front surface of the inward extending part (85) are flush with each other.
