Abstract

Provided is an oily smoke trapping device capable of preventing noise generated by a fan from being transmitted to a room without reducing the perfonnance of the intake /exhaust of air and cleanability. The oily smoke trapping device (100) includes a motor (30), a fan (20) that is attached to a rotary shaft (31) of the motor and generates an air flow, and a fan casing (10) including the fan in the interior thereof , wherein the fan casing has an intake opening (11) that draws in air, an exhausting opening (12) that exhausts the air, and a communication opening (13) provided so as to face the intake opening, a noise-absorbing material (40) is provided on the opposite side of the intake opening with the communication opening interposed therebetween, the communication opening spatially communicates the fan and the noise-absorbing material to each other, and an outer edge E of the communication opening is provided so as to be positioned on the same position as or inside an outer diameter L of the fan.
