Abstract

The bright coating composition comprises, based on the solids content, 10 to 90 mass% of hydroxy-containing resin (A), to 50 mass% of curing agent (B), 1 to 40 mass% of non-aqueous dispersion resin (C), 1 to 20 mass% of 5 basic pigment (D), and 1 to 30 mass% of effect pigment (E), based on 100 mass% of the total resin solids content of the components (A), (B), and (C); wherein the non-aqueous dispersion resin (C) has a structure comprising a core portion and a shell portion, and the shell portion of the non-aqueous dispersion resin (C) contains 0.05 to 5.0 mass% of sulfonic acid group-containing polymerizable unsaturated monomer based on the total amount of polymerizable unsaturated monomer components constituting the non-aqueous dispersion resin (C).
