THE INVENTION RELATES TO A SUBSTANTIALLY INSULIN-FREE PROTEIN COMPOSITION WHICH IS CHARACTERIZED IN THAT IT IS PREPARED BY REMOVING BOVINE INSULIN FROM FAT-FREE PROTEIN-CONTAINING MATERIAL ORIGINATING FROM COW''S MILK, SUCH AS WHEY, A WHEY PROTEIN CONCENTRATE, FAT-FREE MILK OR A CASEIN SOLUTION. THE INVENTION ALSO RELATES TO THE PREPARATION AND USE OF SAID PROTEIN COMPOSITION AND TO PRODUCTS CONTAINING SAME, SUCH AS SUBSTANTIALLY INSULIN-FREE INFANT FORMULAE AND OTHER SPECIAL NUTRITIVE PREPARATIONS AND TO THE PREPARATION THEREOF.
