Abstract
A LEG SHIELD SHIELD STRUCTURE OF A MOTORCYCLE HAVING A VEHICLE BODY INCLUDING A MAIN FRAME EXTENDING FROM A FRONT PORTION OF THE VEHICLE BODY IN A REARWARD DIRECTION, IN WHICH A LEG SHIELD IS ARRANGED SO AS TO EXTEND OBLIQUELY DOWNWARD IN A REARWARD DIRECTION FROM BOTH SIDE PORTIONS OF A HEAD PIPE CONNECTED TO THE FRONT END OF THE MAIN FRAME. THE LEG SHIELD STRUCTURE IS CHARACTERIZED IN THAT THE LEG SHIELD HAS A LOWER END PORTION WHICH IS FASTENED TO A PORTION OF A VEHICLE BODY BY USING A FASTENING MEANS SUCH AS VIS FROM A FRONT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE BODY. THE LEG SHIELD IS COMPOSED OF A PAIR OF LATERAL LEG SHIELD SECTIONS, AND THE LEG SHIELD SECTIONS ARE FORMED WITH OPENINGS, RESPECTIVELY, FOR MAINTENANCE OF THE ENGINE UNIT, WHICH ARE COVERED BY LID MEMBERS, THE LID MEMBERS HAVING LOWER END PORTIONS AT WHICH RIB MEMBERS ARE FORMED JUST ABOVE MATING PORTIONS BETWEEN THE LEG SHIELD SECTIONS AND THE LID MEMBERS, RESPECTIVELY, SO AS TO EXTEND INSIDE THE LEG SHIELD SECTIONS. FURTHER RIBS ARE FORMED AT FRONT EDGE PORTIONS OF THE OPENINGS. (FIGURE 3)
