Abstract

AN ELECTRONIC TELEPHONE DIALLING CIRCUIT IS DESCRIBED COMPRISING A KEYPAD (1) CONNECTED TO A DIALLER (6) WHICH SCANS THE KEYPAD (1) IN RESPONSE TO A KEY (2) HAVING BEEN PRESSED. THE DIALLER (6) SCANSTHE KEYS (2) OF THE KEYPAD (1) BUT DOES NOT SEE A PREDETERMINED KEY i.e. THE "O" ZERO KEY (3) UNTIL IT IS BROUGHT INTO THE CIRCUIT BY AN ELECTRONIC SWITCH (7), WHICH IS PROVIDED IN COLUMN C2 OF THE KEYPAD (1).A DELAYED BIASED LATCH (9) IS LOCATED AT ONE INPUT TO THE KEYPAD (1) SUCH THAT THE LATCH (9) IS POWERED UP TO CAUSE AN OPEN CIRCUIT PREVENTING THE DIALLER (6) FROM RECEIVING AN IMPULSE FROM A COLUMN OF THE KEYPAD (1), ISOLATING THE DIALLER (6) FROM THE COLUMN OF THE KEYPAD CONTAINING A PREDETERMINED ISOLATED KEY.
