Abstract

The present invention describes the solution to three current deficiencies in upper burners of ranges using natural or L.P. gas. First deficiency: not using the central area of utensils for transferring heat to burners, which can be improved by reducing the diameter of the burner and covering the same with a spreader cover; second deficiency: distributing heat with overheated areas, this can be improved using a burner cover, which dampens and distributes heat in a larger area; third deficiency: burners turn off upon utensils spillage, this can be improved using a burner cover since it acts as an umbrella. The burner cover has to be brought into contact with the utensil base so that it has an effective action, thereby the arrangement being supported on a spring for maintaining the same in a suitable position.

Description

IMPROVEMENTS TO TOP BURNERS OF GAS L. OR NATURAL GAS-BASED STOVES, WHICH INCREASE: THE EFFICIENCY OF HEAT TRANSFER, ITS MOST UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION AND · PROTECTION AGAINST SPILLS BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Currently, the top burners of the stoves suffer from an adequate design, in such a way that: 1.- They do not efficiently use the area at the center of the burner, to transfer heat to the utensil (pot, casserole, etc.) It is on the, especially those of little diameter, the area that is underutilized is about 10%. 2.- The flame, in the relatively short interval, between the outlet of the burner and the bottom of the utensil, loses heat by radiation and by contact with the surrounding air. 3. - Concentrate the most intense flame, in a ring of a diameter somewhat larger than the burner itself, which causes the contents of the utensil to heat up considerably more in this ring. 4. -When the contents of the utensil are spilled, as it drains under it, it falls on the burner extinguishing it, with the consequent danger, since the gas continues to flow and the consequences can be serious. To correct these details, the present design was developed, which for the users will be of great benefit, by saving gas, having better distribution of heat and reducing the risk of the burner being extinguished in case of spills.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The characteristic details of this novel upper burner for LP or natural gas-based stoves, are clearly shown in the following description and in the accompanying drawings, which are: Figure 1, perspective and figure 2, section vertical transverse, whose elements are defined with reference notation. OBJECTIVES The present invention integrates three objectives, sought in the design of the upper burners of gas-based stoves L. P. or natural, these are: 1.- Increase the efficiency in heat transfer. 2.- Distribute the heat with more uniformity. 3.- Increase burner protection against spills that could turn it off. SOLUTIONS To achieve objectives 1 and 2: The diameter of the burner itself is minimized, in order to take advantage of the central area to transfer heat and not only by radiation or convection, as it is currently, The burner is approaching the maximum to the bottom of the utensil, in order not to lose heat by radiation or contact with the surrounding air; To cushion the heat stroke of the flame, concentrated and immediate, a flame-breaking plate is placed on the burner, which at the same time absorbs the heat stroke, by contact it transfers it to the utensil in a larger area; To have an effective contact of the flame-breaking plate with the utensil, the burner is supported on a spring, in turn resting on the stove cover, whereby the burner remains high and becomes depressed with the weight of the utensil, until that this is supported on the support grid of the stove. To achieve objective 3: An umbrella is used, which is the same dish to break open flames, which on the shore is made a flask and a dropper, the botaguas bounces the liquids that slide under the utensil and the dropper suspends them the sliding surface, preventing them from reaching the burner, which, being high, moves away from the splashes. PHYSICAL DESCRDÃ TION This novel burner, figures 1 and 2, consists of the following elements: (1) Burner cover (flamebreaker, shock absorber, umbrella), sheet plate or sheets, of equal or different diameters, superimposed or encapsulated , of the same or different material, with edge in descending angle, with perforation and seat to the center for screw or rivet; No drilling if welding is preferred. (2) Burner sieve, shape and vertical position, horizontal, inclined or amorphous, inside or outside the tube, based on metal mesh, expanded metal, tube or muhiperforado plug. (3) Conical, flat or mixed round, or welding plate. (4) Screw, rivet or welding. (5) Tube, burner support foot. (6) Snap ring or clamp. (7) Spring. (8) Adjustment ring, flat (Fig. 1) or with internal flange (Fig. 2) (9) Stove cover. (10) Gas-air mixture feeding tube

Claims (5)

CLAIMS Having sufficiently described my invention, as above, I consider it a novelty and therefore claim as my exclusive property contained in the following clauses.
1. - Improvements to upper burners of LP or natural gas-based stoves, which are integrated as follows: A cover to the burner that works as a flamebreaker, shock absorber and heat transmitter by contact to the utensil to be heated and also as an umbrella against spills having on its shore botaguas and dropper. 2.- A small diameter burner, to increase the temperature transfer area by taking advantage of the central area of the utensil for this purpose. 3. - A conical, flat or without perforation washer that allows to connect the burner sieve to the burner's cover, by means of a screw, rivet or welding 4. - A tube to which the burner sieve is attached, at the same time connects to the gas-air mixture feeding tube. 5. - A spring on an adjustment washer on which the assembly rests on the cover of the stove and causes the burner cover to make effective contact with the bottom of the utensil to be heated, all this to increase: The efficiency in the transfer of the temperature, the most uniform distribution of heat and protection to the burner from spills.
