Abstract
Los manguitos tradicionales para medir la presion sanguinea usan una camara de aire encerrada en una tela que no se estira para obstruir una arteria en una extremidad cuando se suministra con aire a presion. Se usa un estetoscopio utilizado en una extremidad para monitorear el flujo de sangre. La aplicacion del manguito es inconveniente y la colocacion correcta de la pieza para pecho del estetoscopio requiere de habilidad. De acuerdo con la invencion, se facilita la medicion de la presion sanguinea al tener la camara de aire encerrada en una estructura preformada de tipo envolvente, que es flexible alrededor de la extremidad y rigida a lo largo de la extremidad y al usar una configuracion lineal de microfonos para detectar los ruidos del flujo sanguineo, la mejor senal de uno de los microfonos se selecciona automaticamente. Adicionalmente, la invencion suministra una facilidad para corregir la lectura dependiendo de la cantidad de envoltura de la extremidad.
