Description

DOMESTIC ELECTRICAL DEVICE FOR FOOD COOKING DESCRIPTION The present invention relates to a domestic electrical device for cooking food, in particular, food which is sliced or cut into pieces. More particularly, the invention relates to a domestic electrical device wherein the cooking of food is effected by means of heat generated by adequate heating means, suitably located inside the container.
Various types of household electrical devices of the kind mentioned above are known. These are essentially containers, within which a cooking chamber is defined to house the food to be cooked, and is provided with adequate heat sources (generally speaking electrical resistors) suitably housed near the side surfaces of the container itself, all around the cooking chamber.
In such systems, cooking typically takes place in two ways: by heating (by irradiation and / or forced and / or natural convection of the heat generated by the heat sources) and then maintaining the cooking chamber at high temperatures; therefore, the chamber has to be adequately isolated from the outside (such as, for example, in electric ovens) or by heating a cooking fluid bath (typically water or oil) at high temperature, where the foodstuffs they are to be cooked they are embedded (such as, for example, in the boilers and / or fryers).
In a different way from these last applications, where cooking can not occur without the provision of a cooking fluid in the ovens the cooking can be of the "dry" type since they do not require to be used in cooking fluids; in this case the water exclusively and the fat content inside the foods that are going to be cooked is exploited.
Above all with regard to frying, "dry" cooking has notable advantages.
A first advantage is of an economic nature and is related to the fact that no cooking fluid is required, that after a certain number of cooking cycles has to be replenished.
A second advantage is related to the fact that dry foods are not packed with cooking oil and are more digestible and less harmful to the health of the consumer; in fact, the oil, after a certain number of cooking cycles, tends to degrade causing therefore the formation of harmful compounds and a deterioration of the organoleptic characteristics of the cooked food.
In addition, because an oil bath to be heated is not provided, the dry cooking of the food occurs more quickly than by frying.
However, foods cooked by frying taste better and have an improved appearance (due to the particular browning of the outer surface), characteristics that are not often desired and are not equally obtainable by means of different cooking processes.
The patent of the United States of America No.
US 5,134,927 discloses an automatic forced air food heating apparatus comprising a cabinet defining a cooking chamber therein. The cabinet includes a rotating food warming basket driven by a rotating motor. The air heating elements are arranged on a side surface of the cabinet. An air blower and a plurality of air stream directing partitions are provided in order to supply heat by convection of air formed from the heating elements to the food inside the basket. The appliance is provided with an automatic supply tank which automatically supplies partially pre-cooked food loads to the heating basket. The heating basket is provided with an automatically operated door which is automatically placed and opened to receive each load of food from the automatic supply tank and with automatically operated means to automatically drop the heated food in a warehouse or delivery drawer .
The patent O-A-93 21809 describes an apparatus for dry cooking food products comprising a thermoventilated cooking chamber that includes a motorized basket and rotatably supported around its own axis. The heating elements and the air flow circulation means are also provided in order to supply heat by convection of forced air from the heating elements to the food inside the basket. The basket is placed between the loading and unloading parts placed at levels respectively overlying and underlying the basket.
German patent DE-A-2 040 077 discloses a food supply device comprising a container defining a cooking chamber there. A basket driven by rotating food motor having a perforated wall is removably arranged in the container. The heating means are associated with the container cover. The basket is provided with a cover to allow the insertion and extraction of the food product inside and from the basket.
The technical problem underlying the present invention is that providing a simple, inexpensive manufacturing device capable of carrying out the dry cooking of foods of a different kind provides them with similar taste and aesthetic properties. to those obtainable by frying.
Therefore, the invention relates to an electric cooking device for cooking food, comprising an external body that includes: an essentially parallelepiped vessel defining a cooking chamber for food therein; heating means housed on a pair of the first opposite side walls of the container for supplying heat inside the cooking chamber; a basket that can be opened and essentially cylindrical, removably housed inside the cooking chamber of the container and to receive the food to be cooked, the basket being driven by a motor rotating around an axis of rotation X-X; extending in the direction which is essentially horizontal and parallel to the pair of the first opposite side walls of the container; wherein the outer body provided on an upper surface thereof, with a window to allow insertion and removal of the basket in and from the container cooking chamber respectively; characterized in that it comprises basket holding means to further allow the opening / closing of the basket and the insertion / removal of the basket inside and from the cooking chamber of the container.
Therefore, we are referring to a device that is particularly simple to manufacture and economical. Advantageously, such device performs a dry cooking of the food, providing them with flavor and aesthetic properties similar to those of a fried food, without having the typical disadvantages of frying in an oil bath.
The applicant has carried out a number of cooking tests on various types of very frozen and fresh foods (such as, for example, potatoes, sea foods, fish bars, etc.) using both the device according to the present invention and a common electric frying and has surprisingly verified, that at the end of cooking, the food cooked with the device according to the invention has a flavor and an appearance essentially similar to those of fried foods in the fryer. Such similarity is more evident for very frozen and partially fried foods previously.
Advantageously, the cooking by means of the cooking device according to the invention is faster than that of other means of frying (due to the lack of an oil bath that is going to be heated when it is turned on). In addition, when the cooking is complete, the device according to the invention has cooking residues in a dramatically lower amount than what is found in the fryer. Also the cooking by means of the device according to the present invention does not generate an unpleasant odor, nor does it generate jets of oil or splashes due to the formation of oil vapors.
Preferably, the device according to the invention comprises a cover intended to close the body during cooking.
In the device according to the invention, the cooking occurs both for heating at high temperature in the cooking chamber where the food is to be cooked and placed and for a direct heat irradiation through the heating means until the mentioned foods.
In order to optimize such cooking, the cover preferably comprises a hinged lid on the upper surface of the body.
In an alternative, the cover comprises a tray intended to be removably associated with the body in correspondence of the window and which is provided with a plurality of vent holes.
Advantageously, the tray has three important tasks: the first of all is to prevent the basket or the cooking chamber from being accessed incidentally or purposely during cooking; In addition, thanks to the presence of the ventilation holes, it creates homogeneous cooking conditions inside the cooking chamber, controlling the convection flow of the heat air; finally, it can be used as a service tray on which food can be poured right after it has been cooked, in order to serve it.
Advantageously, the ventilation openings allow high-temperature maintenance of the food just cooked and placed on the tray, before being served, while the device carries out a new cooking cycle.
Preferably, the device according to the invention comprises a safety switch, intended to activate the heating means exclusively when the cover is in the closed position for the body and to deactivate it when the cover is brought to the open position.
Preferably, the device according to the invention further comprises a removable squeegee housed in the body below the container and arranged to call and remove the cooking residues.
The box of the basket inside the cooking chamber and its rotation during the cooking itself, is carried out by means of a technical solution of easy construction and low cost. Preferably, the device according to the invention comprises a pair of discs to support the basket which are rotatably mounted in the container in correspondence of a pair of second opposite side walls provided essentially perpendicular to the pair of opposite first walls, the basket holds the discs that are rotationally driven by an electric motor, with a plurality of transmission gears being interposed and intended to pull the basket in rotation. Even more preferably, the plurality of transmission gears comprise two opposite sets of gear wheels, each of which is in a gear engagement with a gear wheel coaxially associated with each of the basket support disks, on the opposite side with respect to the cooking chamber and integral with said disk, and a countershaft essentially parallel to the axis of rotation XX of the basket, associated with two opposite gear wheels of the two sets of gear wheels and which is intended for transmit the rotational movement of one set of gear wheels to the other.
Advantageously, each basket support disc has a side surface facing towards the inside of the cooking chamber and comprising a feel to house the basket. More advantageously, the seat for housing the basket comprises a groove extending in an essentially radial direction in the disc and having a plurality of radially external funnel-shaped parts and an essentially radially internal part, an intermediate part intended to transmit the movement between the disc and the basket being provided between the radially outer part and the radially internal part. The particular arrangement of the seat to house the basket guarantees an easy and correct positioning of the basket inside the cooking chamber and at the same time, an effective transmission of the rotary movement.
Preferably, the device according to the invention further comprises two driving plates mounted on the container in correspondence of the pair of second opposite side walls above the discs to support the basket, adapted to further facilitate insertion and removal of the basket inwardly. and from the cooking chamber respectively.
Advantageously, each driving plate comprises a side wall facing towards the inside of the cooking chamber, wherein a funnel-shaped groove with an essentially vertical axis is provided, and a lower surface which is of a complementary shape with respect to the basket support disc. The correct position is when the funnel of the radially outer part of the slot provided in the basket supporting the discs is on an axis with the funnel of the slot provided in the drive plates.
Preferably, the device according to the invention also comprises means for controlling the angular position of the basket within the cooking chamber, such as to bring the end of the cooking cycle of the basket to the correct insertion / removal position mentioned above. Such means comprise, in particular, a control knob mounted on the body exterior and fitted on the countershaft. Alternatively, the adjustment of the angular position of the basket can be carried out automatically.
Preferably, the basket that can be opened comprises a wire cylinder provided, in correspondence of a first generation line thereof, with opposite portions of adjacent side surfaces, said parts being mutually intended to move outward or approaching, when the basket is handled in the opening or closing, respectively. Even more preferably, the wire cylinder comprises two semi-cylindrical wire surfaces essentially, each being associated, in correspondence of the respective base ends, to the first and second semicircular head plates, each plate of the first and second head plates. second in one of the two wire surfaces being hinged to the other plate of the first and second head plates of the other of the two wire surfaces in correspondence of a second generation line for the cylinder, which is diametrically opposite to the first generation line. The opening / closing of the basket is thus achieved by means of technical solutions of easy construction and low cost.
Preferably, each wire surface is associated with the respective head plates on a peripheral edge thereof, and extends at an angle smaller than the angle of extension of the plates themselves, each plate of the first and second head plates. one of the two wire surfaces is intended to lie partially on the other plate of the first and second head plates of the other wire surface when the basket is put in the closed position, in such a way that both Parts of the side surface of the wire cylinder are moved to a position where they are adjacent and side by side. In this way, the risk of possible losses of food from the basket during its rotation is avoided.
Preferably, each plate comprises at least one movement transmission pin intended to be housed in the intermediate part of the slot provided in the basket support discs so as to allow an easy and affective drag on the basket rotation.
Preferably, the device according to the invention further comprises means for controlling the opening of the basket. In particular, such means comprise the elastic means which, in the rest position, maintain the basket in a partial opening condition and, when loaded, carry the basket in a position of a larger opening.
Preferably, the resilient means comprises an annular spring essentially housed in a respective peripheral seat formed in the first and second head plates and gripping means in the form of grippers intended to counteract the spring force of the spring when the grippers are tightened, as in addition mutually move outwardly from the two parts of the lateral surface of the wire cylinder and thus also open the basket.
According to the above description, the basket is in its rest position in the partially open configuration, such openings can be increased in order to carry out in an easier way the loading / unloading steps of food, simply by means of the apply the tightening of the gripper grippers. Then the basket is inserted inside the body, it is placed in the respective box seats; during insertion the basket closes. In operation, the basket rotates while the grip means are fixed.

The additional features and advantages of the device according to the present invention will appear more clearly from the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment made in accordance with the accompanying drawings.
In such drawings: Figure 1 shows a schematic perspective view of a cooking device partially in section according to the invention; Figure 2 shows a cross-sectional side view of the device of Figure 1; Figure 3 shows a schematic and perspective view of a detail of the device of Figure 1 in the first working configurations (basket in the open position); Figures 4 and 5 show a schematic side view of the detail of Figure 3 in two different working configurations (basket in the open and closed position, respectively.
In such drawings, with reference to the number 1 is indicated a domestic electrical device according to the invention, intended to cook foods of different nature, in particular, but not exclusively sliced or cut small pieces of fresh or very frozen food. The device 1 comprises an external body 2 provided with a support base 3 and a body of upper box shape 4, connected to each other in a known manner (for example, by means of screws). The base 3 and the box-shaped body 4 are both made of plastic material, for example, of injection molded polypropylene.
A container 5, made of steel coated with zinc, and having an essentially parallelepiped shape is mounted on the base 3 of the body 2, inside the box-shaped body 4. Inside the container 5, a container chamber 6 is defined intended the movably housing a basket that can be opened 7 comprising the foods that are to be cooked.
The body 2 has an upper surface 8 of the box-shaped body 4, a window 9 adapted to allow the insertion and removal of the basket 7 from inside and from the cooking chamber 6 of the container 5.
A cover 10 is associated with the body 12 in correspondence of the window 9 for closing the body 2 during the cooking steps of the food. The cover 10 is made as a cover 11 hinged on the upper surface 8 of the body 2. The cover 11 is provided with a glass plate 12 associated with a frame 13 provided with a gripping handle 14.
In an alternate embodiment (not shown) of the device 1 according to the present invention, the cover 10 comprises an essentially flat tray, made for example of chromium-coated steel and two grip handles made of plastic material and associated with the tray in correspondence of the opposite parts of a peripheral edge of the same.
The tray is provided with a plurality of calibrated vent holes adapted to ensure an optimum cooking of the food placed inside the cooking chamber and the maintenance of a relatively high temperature of those just cooked and placed on the tray itself before being served. respectively.
The cover 11 comprises a tooth 15 intended to be housed within the respective seat 15a formed on the upper surface 8 of the body 2.
The device 1 according to the invention comprises heating means 16 (typically plates provided with printed electrical resistors) which is intended to supply heat inside the cooking chamber 6 and housed on a pair of the first opposite side walls 17 internal to the container 5. Two protection grids (not shown) made of zinc coated steel are interposed between the electrical resistors and the cooking chamber 6.
A safety switch 18 of a type known per se is mounted inside the body 12 in correspondence with the 15a. The switch 18 is intended to activate the heating plates 16 when the lid 11 is brought inside the closed position of the body 2 and to deactivate it when the lid 11 is brought to the open position of the body 2. Therefore, the presence of the lid 11 in the closed position of the body 2 is necessary in order to activate the plates 16 and therefore start the cooking of the food present within the body itself.
The basket 7 is essentially cylindrical and is rotatably mounted within the cooking chamber 6 around an axis of rotation XX which extends in an essentially horizontal direction and parallel to the pair of the first opposite side walls 17. In operation, the axis of rotation rotation XX coincides with the axis of longitudinal symmetry of the basket 7.
The basket 7 comprises a wire cylinder 19 which can be opened in correspondence of a first upper generation line 20 thereof and is provided with opposite adjacent side surface portions 19a and 19b attempted to move outward and arrive close with respect to each other. each other when the basket 7 is maneuvered respectively to open or close it.
More particularly, the basket 7 is composed of two semi-cylindrical surfaces in a frontly expanded stainless steel wire placed side by side and mutually linked at the respective base ends thereof by means of the opposite first and second head plates, respectively indicated with the numbers 21a and 21b made of a stamped stainless steel sheet and having an essentially semicircular shape. The semi-cylindrical wire surfaces are welded to the head plates 21a and 21b on a peripheral edge 22 thereof and extend at a lower angle than the angle of extension of the plates themselves (Figure 5). In addition, the two head plates 21a, as well as the two plates 21b are mutually hinged in correspondence of a second lower generation line 23 of the cylinder 19, diametrically opposite to the first generation line 20, in a manner such as to allow their mutual fan-shaped movement, and therefore the opening or closing of the basket 7. In this way, when the basket 7 comes into contact in the closed position, the two head plates 21a and similarly, the two plates 21b partially lie one on top of the other, whereby the parts 19a and 19b of the side surface of the cylinder 19 are adjacent and located side by side (Figure 4, where the basket is shown in the position achieved within the body).
In an alternate embodiment (not shown), the positions of the first generating line 20 and of the second generating line 2 are mutually inverted, in such a way that the opening of the basket 7 occurs in correspondence of the lowest generating line of the basket 7 same.
A pair of discs 24 for supporting and driving the basket 7 in rotation are rotatably mounted around the rotating shaft XX within the container 5 on a pair of opposite second side walls 25 provided essentially perpendicular to the first side walls 17. Each disc 24 is in turn provided with a side surface 26 facing the cooking chamber 6 comprising a seat 27 to house the basket 7.
The 27 comprises a slot 28 which extends in the first disk 24 in an essentially radial direction and having a radially external funnel-shaped part 29, an essentially straight and radially inner part 30 and an intermediate part 31 which is intended to house the means for transmitting the rotary movement between the disc 24 and the basket 7. The shape of the slot 28 allows the basket 7 to close automatically when it is inserted inside the body 2.
In the second side walls 25 of the container 5, above the discs 24, to support and pull the basket 7, a pair of driver plates 32 are mounted, adapted to make the insertion and removal of the basket 7 easy in and out of the cooking chamber 6. The plates 32 comprise a side wall facing towards the inside of the cooking chamber 6, in which an essentially vertical funnel-shaped groove 33 is formed, and a lower surface 34 formed in a complementary fashion to the support discs 24. Advantageously, the funnel angle of the radially external part 29 of the groove 28 provided in the discs 24 is greater than that of the funnel of the groove 33, provided in the driver plates 32. This allows the insertion and removal of the basket 7 in and from the cooking chamber 6, respectively, to make it easier, even when the disks 24 are not in the insertion / removal position of the basket c orrecta. In particular, such a position is that in which the funnel of the radially outer part 29 of the slot 28 provided in the discs 24 is aligned with the funnel of the slot 33 provided in the driver plates 2.
Each of the head plates 21a and 21b comprises a motion transmission pin 35 intended to be housed in the intermediate part 31 of the slot 28 provided in the disks 24, so as to allow the basket 7 is dragged in rotation.
A groove 36 is formed in one of the head plates 21a and on one of the head plates 21b of the basket 7, in correspondence of the pin 35, in such a way as to allow the box of the pin 35 of the other head plate 21a and 21b when the basket 7 is brought to a closed position (figure 4).
The device according to the invention further comprises a pair of opposed plates 39 intended to limit the opening of the basket 7, each comprising a pair of slide bolts 38 which are intended to be housed within a pair of slots 37 , wherein each slot 37 is provided on a respective head plate 21a and 21b.
Each plate 39 comprises an additional plug 40, provided on the opposite side of the pair of slide bolts 38. The plug 40 is adapted to be accommodated in the radially internal part 30 of the seat 27 provided to the disks 24 to house the basket 7. .
In order to allow the opening / closing of the basket 7, it is provided with elastic means which is intended to maintain the basket 7 in a partially open position when it is in the resting conditions.
An essentially annular spring 41 is housed in a peripheral groove 42 provided in the first and second head plates 21a and 21b and is attempted, when loaded, carry basket 7 to a higher opening position (figure 3). The spring 41 is associated with only clamp gripping means 43 intended to overcome the elastic force of the spring itself when the clamps are tightened, such as to move mutually outwardly from the two lateral surface portions 19a and 19b of the wire cylinder 19 and therefore to open the basket 7 to a greater extent.
Advantageously, the basket 7 comprises within this the longitudinal fillets 44 made of stainless steel which is intended to facilitate the rolling of the food during cooking as to optimize said cooking itself.
The cooking device according to the invention further comprises an electric motor 45 kinetically connected to the disks 24 in order to allow the rotation of the basket 7 during the cooking steps. In particular, the electric motor 45 is a gear motor and is connected to the disks 24 through the interposition of a plurality of transmission gears. Such gears comprise two opposite sets of gear wheels 46, each not in a gearing contact with the gear wheel 47 coaxially associated with each of the disks 24 on the opposite side with respect to the cooking chamber 6 and integral with disk 24 during rotation. A countershaft 48, essentially parallel to the axis of rotation X-X of the basket 7, is fixedly associated with the two opposite gear wheels 49 in such a way that they transfer the rotary movement from one set of gear wheels 46 to another. A knob 48a for controlling by hand the rotation of the disks 24 is externally mounted to the body 2 and fits on the contrarie 48. The knob 48a allows the placement of the disks 24 in the insertion position correct removal, which corresponds to the position in which the funnel of the radially outer part 29 of the slot 28 provided in the disks 24 is aligned with the funnel of the slot 33 provided in the driving plates 32. Alternatively, the adjustment of the angular position of the disks 24 can be done automatically.
Advantageously, the device 1 according to the invention further comprises a removable squeegee 50 housed below the container 5 in the support base 3 of the body 2. In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the present invention the squeegee 50 is not completely removable from the body 2. and is provided with an outer handle 50a of a plastic material (eg, polypropylene) and with a removable tray 50b placed within the drawer 50 and which is intended to be periodically removed for cleaning itself.
The cooking device 1 further comprises a knob 51a for controlling a timer 51 connected, in a manner known per se, to the electric motor 45 and to the heating plates 16 and which is intended to set the cooking time. A warning display (not shown) shows the operating condition of the device.
Finally, the body 2 has a shape adapted to guarantee a significant ventilation inside the device 1.
In operation, the basket 7 is removed, acting on the gripping means 43 from inside the body 2, after the lid 11 has been opened. The foods that are to be cooked are introduced in the basket 7, which takes a full opening position, tightening the clamps 43 (figure 3). The basket 7 is therefore reintroduced into the body 2 through the window 9 and the layer 11 is brought into a closed position of the body itself. The basket 7, during the insertion step of the body 2 closes manually; it is completely closed when the insertion step itself in the body 2 is completed (in such a position that the plug 40 is housed in the bottom of the radially internal part 30 of the slot 28 while the pins 35 are housed in the intermediate part. 31 of slot 28).
The pressure exerted by the tooth 15 on the safety switch 18 automatically activates the electrical resistors that initiate the heating of the cooking chamber 6. Acting on the knob 51a of the timer 51 sets the desired cooking time and the electric motor is activated 45, thus driving the rotation of basket 7 for the preset cooking time.
The cooking of the food is done by direct heat radiation from the electrical resistors and by convection of heat inside the cooking chamber 6.
The rotation of the basket 7 takes place by the dragging action carried out by the discs 24, thanks to the pins 35 housed in the intermediate part 31 of the slot 28.
The activation of a sound signal indicates the end of cooking. Acting on the knob 48a, the basket 7 is put into the correct removal position (ie, in a position such that the funnel of the radially outer part 29 of the slot 28 provided in the disks 24 is aligned with the funnel the slot 3 provided in the driver plates 2, a position which is indicated by a dedicated notch on the knob 48a). At this point, the lid 11 is opened and the basket 7 is removed from the body 2. The basket 7 is now in the position of a partial opening. Acting on the tweezers 43 the basket 7 can be opened to a greater extent, so that freshly cooked foods (figure 5) are poured ready to be served.

A device as claimed in clause 14, characterized in that the wire cylinder comprises two essentially semi-cylindrical wire surfaces, each one being associated in correspondence of the respective base ends to the first and second semicircular head plates, each plate of the first and second head plates of one of the two wire surfaces is hinged to the other plate of the first and second head plates of the other wire surface in correspondence of the second cylinder generation line which is diametrically opposed to the first generation line.
16. A device as claimed in clause 15, characterized in that each wire surface is associated with the respective head plates on a peripheral edge thereof and extend at an angle smaller than the angle of extension of the plates themselves , each plate of the first and second head plates of one of the two wire surfaces is adapted to lie partially on the other plate of the first and second head plates of the other wire surface when the basket is put in the position Closed, in such a way that the two parts of the side surface of the wire cylinder move to a position where they are adjacent and side by side.
17. A device as claimed in clauses 9 and 16, characterized in that each plate comprises at least one movement transmission pin housed in the intermediate part of the slot provided in the basket support discs so as to allow dragging in the rotation of the basket.
18. A device as claimed in clause 1, further characterized in that it comprises means for controlling opening / closing of the basket.
19. A device as claimed in clauses 15 and 18, characterized in that the means for controlling the opening / closing of the basket comprise elastic means which, in the rest position, maintain the basket in a condition of partial opening, and when they are loaded, they carry the basket to a position of greater opening.
20. A device as claimed in clause 19, characterized in that the elastic means comprise an essentially annular spring housed in a respective peripheral seat formed on the first and second head plates and the gripping means in the form of grippers to counteract the force elastic spring when the clamps are tightened, so as to move mutually outwardly from the two parts of the lateral surface of the wire cylinder and thus open the basket.
21. A device as claimed in clause 1, further characterized in that it comprises means for limiting the opening of the basket.
22. A device as claimed in clauses 15 and 21, characterized in that the means for limiting the opening of the basket comprise a pair of plates, each provided with a pair of slider bolts, adapted to be housed in a first slot of respective slip provided on each of the first and second head plates.
23. A device as claimed in clauses 9 and 22, characterized in that each plate comprises, on an opposite seal with respect to the pair of slider bolts, an additional plug adapted to be housed in the radially internal part of the seat to house the basket provided on the basket support discs. SUMMARY The invention relates to a domestic electrical device for "dry" cooked food comprising a parallelepiped container defining a cooking chamber for food inside it, heating means housed on a pair of opposite side walls of the container and heat is attempted to radiate inside the cooking chamber, an operable cylindrical basket, removably housed inside the cooking chamber of the container that is intended to receive the food to be cooked. The basket is rotationally driven by motor about a rotary axis X-X, extending in a direction which is essentially horizontal and parallel to the aforementioned side walls of the container. The cooking device further comprises an outer body provided on an upper surface thereof, with a window which can be closed, adapted to allow the insertion and / or removal of the basket inside and from the cooking chamber of the container, respectively.
