Abstract

The present invention refers to a disposable absorbent article such as a disposable absorbent pant having elastics in the waist and legs areas of the same, such that the lateral parts so that it is achieved a better pant adjustment for the elastics of the legs surround entirely each of the user°s legs, not crossing the user°s crotch, eliminating in this way tensions that could deform the pant and assuring a complete protection and comfort to the user avoiding leakages by the crotch area.

Description

DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT LEG WITH IMPROVED LEG ELASTICS BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION A disposable pant is a disposable absorbent article that can be raised and lowered by the legs and used by children around two years of age, in the learning stage so that they can go to the bathroom on their own. These types of items can also be used by older children who have incontinence problems. There are several types of disposable underwear in the market and all of them are looking for absorbency, softness, good retention and good adjustment towards the user. In order to avoid run-off, and adjust the underpants to the wearer, elastics have been placed in the waist area and by the parts in which the same will be in contact with the legs of the user, examples of this can be found in the patents of the United States Nos. 5,055,103, 5,092,861 and 5,147,487, all from Nomura et al., and assigned to Uni Charm Corp. If a trainer is considered before being joined by its lateral edges, that is, in a flat shape and divided in two halves, the front half and the back half. These patents protect a type of application of the elastics of the legs by which, on the one hand apply the elastic or the elastics to the front and back half independently, the elastic cross the crotch and cross each other, so that the elastic (s) that were applied to the front half pass through the crotch and extend towards the back half in the leg area, while the elastics that were applied in the back half pass through the crotch and extend towards the front half on the opposite side of the shorts; in this way, at the moment of joining the same by its lateral edges, the elastic cover the entire area of the openings of the legs and elastic bands are also in the crotch parts that deform the pants, shirring in this part of the crotch, making less effective adjustment in this area. Considering the foregoing, a disposable brief for children with elastic located in the leg openings covering the entire area of each of the openings is protected by the present invention, so that during use the elastics completely surround each of the legs of the wearer, such as a common underpants, and without the elastics crossing the crotch area, so that the underpants do not gather or deform in this area achieving greater comfort and better adjustment thereof towards the wearer. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The objective of the present invention is to provide the consumer with a comfortable absorbent pants for children with a good fit towards the user, especially in the areas in which the pants will be in contact with the legs thereof. A further object of the invention is that the absorbent pants for children have an appearance similar to that of a common underpants. A further object of the invention is that the absorbent pants for children fit appropriately to the legs of the user by eliminating stresses in the crotch and ensuring that the elastics of the legs cover the entire area of the leg openings, so that during use, completely surround each of the legs of the user. Another objective of the invention is to eliminate risks of leakage or leakage by achieving an adequate adjustment of the disposable absorbent pants to the wearer. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Figure 1 shows the disposable absorbent pants of the present invention in a configuration suitable for use. Figure 2 shows the disposable absorbent pants in planar form, that is, before their side edges are joined. Figure 3 shows the outer layer of the underpants with the application area of adhesive for placing the leg elastics. In Figure 4 the outer layer of the disposable absorbent pants is shown before the insert containing the absorbent matrix is placed thereon.
Detailed Description of the Invention A disposable training pant is an item generally worn by children around 24 months of age who are being trained to go to the bathroom on their own. These types of items can also be used by older infants who have problems with toilet training, either during the day, during the night or both. It is a type of disposable item that is designed so that it can be raised and lowered by the legs, that is, it has the shape of a common underpants with an opening in the waist and an opening for each of the legs. The fundamental structure of a disposable pant is as follows: a soft and permeable inner layer, a waterproof outer layer and an absorbent matrix placed between both; The shorts also have elastics in the waist opening and in the leg openings to adjust it towards the user and prevent run-off. In a preferred embodiment, the disposable pants can be constituted, as shown in FIG. 1, by an outer layer (25), preferably breathable and fabric-like, and by an absorbent insert (30). Figure 1 illustrates the underpants of this invention joined by means of the side links (41), thus forming the waist opening (36) and the leg openings (37). Likewise, the waist elastics (27) are shown around the waist opening (36) and the leg elastics (29) around the leg openings (37). Figure 2 shows the training pants of the invention before being joined by its side edges (38), to form the two side connections (41) on each side thereof. In the figure it can be clearly seen how the insert (30) is constituted. The absorbent insert (30) which is formed by a permeable upper layer (31), a waterproof lower layer (33) and an absorbent matrix (32) positioned therebetween. The insert (30) can also have lateral barriers (34) for a better retention of exudates. In a preferred embodiment, the manufacturing process of a disposable absorbent brief consists basically of the following steps: Formation of the outer layer (25) with the leg elastics (29) and waist (27) placed between two layers of non-woven fabric (42 and 43) laminated together. Formation of the absorbent insert (30). Union of the absorbent insert (30) to the outer layer. Folding of the shorts by its central part and union of the lateral edges (38) by the lateral joints (41) on each side of the shorts. During this process, the materials run transversely, so that on the first layer of non-woven fabric (42) the waist elastics (27) and the leg elastics (29) are placed. For the placement of the waist elastics (27), a wide line of adhesive is preferably applied in the area where they are placed and the elastic (s) (27) are attached to the adhesive. For the placement of the leg elastics (29) of the present invention, adhesive is applied in the areas of application of adhesive (40), as seen in Figure 3. This area has an approximate length "1" encompassing the crotch and a maximum of 5 cm above and below it on both sides of the pants. The width "a" of each of these adhesive application areas (40) from each of the side edges (38) of the pants and towards the center thereof is up to 13 cm maximum. The outer layer (25) can be constituted, as shown in figure 4, by two films of non-woven fabric (42 and 43) laminated together, so that the waist elastics (27) and the leg elastics (29) are placed between both films to avoid direct contact with the user's skin. In this way, the outer layer (25) is a breathable laminate with a fabric appearance. For the application of the leg elastics (29) of the disposable pants of the present invention, an intermittent application system of adhesive is required that only applies adhesive in the application areas (40) and ceases to apply in the central parts of the breeches. For this, the leg elastics are applied in the following way: the elastic (s) (29a) are joined in the back (44) right (46) of the shorts, cross the crotch and join again in the front area (45 ) right (47) thereof, as shown in Figure 4; on the other hand, the elastic (s) (29b) join the front (45) right (46) of the shorts, cross the crotch and join again in the left rear area (44) (47) thereof. After joining, a blade cuts the elastic of the crotch, so that they are only joined in the area of application of adhesive (40) that is illustrated in Figure 3, so that when bending it and join it by the lateral joints (41), the leg elastics (29) cover the entire crotch area of the pants, as shown in Figure 1, and leaving the crotch area free of elastics and tensions, thus achieving an absorbent pants much more comfortable and safe for the user. While the invention has been described in terms of its preferred embodiments, the scope thereof includes any type of change or modification thereto that may be apparent to a person skilled in the art.
