Abstract
Se describe una herramienta interactiva con base en una estacion de trabajo por computadora para determinar la confiabilidad de un sistema de energía. Esta herramienta puede ser utilizada para determinar el efecto en la confiabilidad tanto de subestaciones como de sistemas de generacion y transmision o granel de adiciones de sistema, alternativas de diseño, prácticas de mantenimiento, configuraciones de subestacion y políticas de refacciones. Cada servicio que utiliza la presente invencion está analíticamente modelado. El modelo incluye características de carga, proyecciones de demanda, perfiles de voltaje, restricciones de energía y de operacion, respuestas de operador y automáticas a la ocurrencia de casos contingentes, expedicion de unidad y de generacion, acciones de alivio de contingencia, prácticas de difusion de carga, manejo lateral de demanda y modos de avería de equipo, incluyendo mantenimiento planeado y no planeado.
