Abstract
La presente invencion describe un procedimiento y un dispositivo de tratamiento de un gas que contiene hidrogeno sulfurado y dioxido de azufre, que tiene por objeto reducir sensiblemente las emisiones de vapor de azufre en los gases tratados, el procedimiento está caracterizado porque se ponen en contacto en un reactor contactor (2) de gas-líquido, el gas con un solvente (5) y se recupera un gas (20) que es enviado hacia un segundo reactor (102) en donde el mismo se pone de nuevo en contacto con un solvente (105), dicho solvente es enfriado por los medios apropiados (190), lo que permite separar una parte de azufre del solvente. Este solvente des-saturado de azufre es utilizado para realizar el contacto con el gas (20) que proviene del primer reactor (2). El gas (120) salido del segundo reactor es muy pobre en vapor de azufre. Al menos uno de los reactores contiene un catalizador. La invencion tiene aplicacion en la purificacion de los efluentes de las unidades de Claus.
