Abstract

Una máquina automática para probar muestras almacenadas en tarjetas. La máquina tiene un sistema de colocacion de muestras para pruebas para mover una charola que contiene una pluralidad de tarjetas de muestras para pruebas y receptáculos de fluidos entre varias estaciones en la máquina. La máquina tiene una estacion de dilusion para agregar una cantidad predeterminada de dilusor a los receptáculos como se necesite. Una estacion de pipetas transfiere fluido desde un receptáculo a otro. Se proporciona una estacion de vacío que tenga una cámara de vacío movil en relacion a la charola entre posiciones inferior y superior. La cámara coopera con la charola para hacer un acoplamiento de sellado con la superficie de la charola cuando se baja a la posicion inferior. Un generador de succion proporciona vacío a la cámara. Cuando se libera el vacío de la cámara, las muestras de fluido se cargan en las rajetas desde los receptáculos. El sistema de colocacion de muestras para pruebas mueve la charola a una estacion de corte y sellado y entonces a una estacion de incubacion y carga las tarjetas una a la vez en un carrusel dentro de la estacion de incubacion. Una estacion de transporte para tarjetas de prueba transporta las tarjetas desde la estacion de incubacion a una estacion de lectura optica, en donde se llevan a cabo medidas opticas (por ejemplo, pruebasopticas de transmitancia y/o fluorescencia) a los pozos de la tarjeta. Cuando la tarjeta se ha leído, se mueve ya sea de regreso a la estacion de incubacion y lecturas o transferido a un sistema de desecho apilante cuando la lectura se termina.
