Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un sistema de identificacion para puentes de conexion usados en una central para interconectar fibras opticas o alambres. En la presente invencion se incluye un sistema con una central que aloja una pluralidad de receptáculos. Los receptáculos reciben las fibras opticas o alambres respectivos en un extremo, y tienen enchufes respectivos en los otros extremos de los mismos. De manera importante, los datos codificados opticamente son colocados en la central de asociacion con los receptáculos o grupos de receptáculos respectivos, para identificar unicamente la localizacion física de los receptáculos y distinguir los receptáculos de otros receptáculos alojados en la central. Los datos codificadosopticamente para los receptáculos también pueden indicar el tipo de puente de conexion y/o longitud del puente de conexion a ser usado con el receptáculo, al igual que la ruta correcta del puente de conexion a través de la central, el tráfico a ser transportado sobre él y/o la identidad de la localizacion física del receptáculo a ser conectado al otro extremo del puente de conexion.
