Abstract
When using calcium exchange forms of zeolite X as a nitrogen selective adsorber in an air separation process ASP, it has been discovered that a higher performance is not obtained, as generally believed, when calcium content is at maximum, particularly under certain temperature and pressure conditions, but rather when the calcium exchange rate is in the range of 60 to 89 equivalent percent and only when zeolite Si/Al2 coefficient armature is in the range of 2.0 to 2.4.
