Abstract

Se describe un método para la esterilización de la capa interna de un material de empaque, el material de empaque se produce como un laminado con una capa interna (3) de un material termoplástico transparente el cual se aplica sobre una capa de material reflector (4). La energía de esterilización consiste de destellos de luz de alta energía emitidos desde una o más unidades de destello (6), se provoca que los destellos de luz actúen sobre el interior (10) del material de empaque para propósitos de exterminar bacterias y microorganismos presentes sobre la superficie (10). Debido a que los destellos de luz emitidos desde la unidad de destellos (6) se reflejan por la capa reflectora (4), la capa superficial (10) de la capa (3) será influenciada por la fotoenergía directa y la reflejante de las unidades de destello (6), el efecto esterilizante se mejora de esta manera.
