Abstract

Se describe un tipo de válvula de la clase que controla el flujo de fluido y que contiene un tapón y cuando menos un asiento contra el cual el tapón presiona para cerrar la válvula. La nueva válvula tiene asientos flotantes, los cuales puede ser sellados corriente abajo y solamente cuando se desee, puede también ser re-energizados para sellar corriente arriba. La capacidad de sellamiento corriente arriba de la invención, proporciona un retroceso contra las fugas de corriente abajo, de tal manera que evita los flujos de baja presión o fallas de las partes como aquellas debido a desgaste o rompimientos. La válvula puede sellar corriente arriba a través del uso de fluido hidráulico, el cual es inyectado a alta presión en una cavidad de sellado contra el flujo de fluido así como aislamiento de los portillos de inyección hidráulica del flujo de fluido, durante todos los estados de operación de la válvula.
