Abstract
Una bomba (50) de infusión para transferir fluido a través de una tubería (66) de un equipo (64) de administración conectado con la bomba, en donde la bomba incluye un alojamiento (52) y un mecanismo (62) de bombeo montado en el alojamiento. El mecanismo de bombeo incluye una pluralidad de trinquetes (80) de bombeo, un motor (96) para mover, en forma secuencial y recíproca la pluralidad de trinquetes de bombeo y un sensor (90) de oclusión configurado para detectar la carga invertida de la tubería con el mecanismo de bombeo. Durante la operación, el sensor de oclusión provoca por lo menos uno de la activación de una alarma (61) y la prevención de la operación del mecanismo (62) de bombeo, cuando el sensor detecta que la tubería del equipo de administración está cargada en forma invertida con el mecanismo de bombeo.
