Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método y un sistema de control para controlar la velocidad de un compresor centrífugo que opera en un proceso de adsorción oscilante de presión de vacío para evitar una operación en la cual puede ocurrir una oleada y directamente impulsado por un motor eléctrico que está controlado a su vez por un impulso de frecuencia variable. De acuerdo con la presente invención se determina una velocidad óptima para operación del compresor en la cual el compresor operará a lo largo de una línea de operación de eficiencia pico de un mapa de compresor del mismo. Esta velocidad se ajusta mediante un multiplicador de velocidad de retroalimentación cuando el flujo u otro parámetro referible al flujo a través del compresor está por debajo de un mínimo y un multiplicador de alimentación de avance durante evacuación y evacuación con pasos de purga que multiplica el multiplicador de retroalimentación para incrementar la velocidad del compresor y evitar así la oleada.
