Abstract

When the turning angle of front wheels (5L, 5R) mechanically separated from a steering wheel (6) is controlled, the turning angle of the front wheels (5L, 5R) is controlled on the basis of a SBW command turning angle corresponding to a steering angle of the steering wheel (6) when it is determined that there is no lane deviation. When it is determined that there is lane deviation, the turning angle is controlled on the basis of a LDP command turning angle for producing a yaw moment in a direction that will return the vehicle back within a lane, while steering reaction force given to the steering wheel (6) is controlled on the basis of the steering angle without having the LDP command turning angle reflected on the steering reaction force.
