Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a la función inmunitaria de una planta se puede modular al administrar una composición que comprende beta-glucano, donde el beta-glucano incluye beta-(1,3)-glucano no ramificado. Este beta-(1,3)-glucano no ramificado se puede obtener de Euglena, incluyendo Euglena cultivado de manera heterotrófica. El beta-(1,3)-glucano no ramificado puede estar en la forma de paramilo y/o ser parte de una harina de algas.
