Abstract
La invención se relaciona con un método para producir un polímero de bio-PET que comprende las siguientes etapas: etapa A) proporcionar por lo menos un compuesto diácido, que comprende un compuesto de tereftalato; etapa B) proporcionar por lo menos un compuesto diol, que comprende monoetilenglicol; en donde por lo menos uno del compuesto tereftalato y/o el monoetilenglicol se obtiene de por lo menos un material bio-basado, y por lo menos uno del compuesto diácido y/o el compuesto diol que comprende además por lo menos un compuesto que retarda la cristalización; y la etapa C) copolimerizar una mezcla del compuesto diácido y el compuesto diol para obtener un polímero de bio-PET que comprende unidades diácidas y unidades diol, que comprende hasta 7.5% en moles de una o varias unidades que corresponden a por lo menos un compuesto que retarda la cristalización, en base en el número total de moles de unidades de diácido contenidas en el bio-PET; la invención también se relaciona con un método para producir un elemento de empacado de bio-PET, que comprende las siguientes etapas: realizar el método descrito en lo anterior; y etapa D) convertir el bio-PET en elemento de empacado de bio-PET.
