Abstract
El uso de un cierto copolímero es descrito para reducir la permeabilidad de gas de material de goma. También se describe un material de goma provisto con un material de barrera en la forma del copolímero. El copolímero puede ser producido vía polimerización de metátesis de abertura de anillo de a) un primer monómero de olefina seleccionado del grupo que consiste de monómeros de olefina cíclica teniendo al menos un doble enlace C-C endocíclico, donde está presente un átomo de carbono no terciario que soporta un átomo de hidrógeno en posición alfa al doble enlace, y b) un segundo monómero de olefina seleccionado del grupo que consiste de monómeros de olefina cíclica teniendo un doble enlace C-C endocíclico, donde está presente un átomo de carbono terciario que porta un átomo de hidrógeno en al menos una posición alfa al doble enlace, donde el copolímero ha sido oxidado al menos en algún grado, donde la cantidad de monómeros de olefina policíclica usada para producir el copolímero con al menos dos dobles enlaces C-C es cero o menor que 1% mol, con base en la totalidad de los monómeros.
