Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un aparato, que comprende: una bomba de desplazamiento positivo para una herramienta de fondo de pozo, en donde la bomba de desplazamiento positivo es operable para producir un fluido desde una línea de flujo de la herramienta de fondo de pozo, y en donde la bomba de desplazamiento positivo comprende: una primera cámara dispuesta para recibir un primer volumen de fluido durante una primera carrera de la bomba de desplazamiento positivo; una segunda cámara dispuesta para recibir un segundo volumen de fluido durante una segunda carrera de la bomba de desplazamiento positivo, en donde la segunda carrera es en una dirección contraria relativa a la primera carrera, y un controlador de flujo de fluido operable para controlar el flujo de fluido entre la primera y segunda cámaras y la línea de flujo; y un procesador operativamente conectado a la bomba de desplazamiento positivo y operable para: detectar un modo de fallo del controlador de flujo de fluido; y aplicar compensación para el modo de fallo al ajustar al menos un parámetro de la bomba de desplazamiento positivo; y en donde, durante el modo de fallo, una pero no ambas de la primera y segunda cámaras acumula un volumen de fluido desde la línea de flujo, que resulta en una carrera activa para la una de la primera y segunda cámaras y una carrera inactiva para la otra de la primera y segunda cámaras, y ajustar el al menos un parámetro comprende incrementar una tasa de operación de la bomba de desplazamiento positivo para la carrera inactiva.
