The invention relates to a positioning appliance for measurement and analysis, comprising: a supporting structure formed by two front columns and a rotary column connected by a base plate and an intermediate panel; anti-vibration levelling elements in the lower part of each column of the supporting structure; a support; a rotary system; a rotary track designed to be supported by the supports; a rail arranged over the rotary column and the rotary track, said rail having a sliding carriage and a brake on the front part thereof, and a positioning system on the rear part thereof; a guide arranged on the upper part of the rail, as well as a gauge; a platform that slides along the rail by means of the guide; a base positioned on the platform; a linear motion brake arranged in the centre of the platform, which allows a defined position of the platform to be secured; an electrical control panel for energising the appliance; and a light arranged on the lower part of the rail.
