Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una planta transgénica que tiene resistencia a un insecto gusano cogollero (FAW; Spodoptera frugiperda); caracterizada porque comprende ADN que codifica una proteína insecticida Cry1Da y ADN que codifica una proteína insecticida Cry1Ca, en donde dicha planta comprende adicionalmente ADN que codifica una tercera proteína insecticida, dicha tercera proteína se selecciona del grupo que consiste de CRy1Fa, Vip3Ab, Cry1E, Cry2A y Cry1Ab, en donde dicha proteína insecticida Cry1Ca es al menos 95% idéntica con la SEQ ID NO: 1, y dicha proteína insecticida Cry1Da es al menos 95% idéntica con la SEQ ID NO: 2, y en donde dicha planta se selecciona del grupo que consiste de maíz y soya, y en donde dicha proteína insecticida Cry1Da y dicha proteína insecticida Cry1 Ca tienen diferentes sitios de unión de receptor en el intestino de FAW.
