Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para identificar de forma no destructiva una característica de un embrión de Gallus Gallus domesticus in ovo, el método comprende: (a) obtener una muestra de material asociado con un huevo que comprende el embrión, y (b) medir un valor de puntaje para la presencia y concentración de al menos un primer biomarcador en la muestra indicativa de la característica embrionaria, y (c) aplicar un umbral al valor de puntaje y la concentración obtenida en (b) para identificar la característica embrionaria asociada con la presencia y concentración del biomarcador, en donde al menos un primer biomarcador comprende un compuesto amino que tiene un peso molecular en el intervalo de 140 a 190 g/mol, en donde la etapa (c) además comprende: (i) correlacionar cada señal de biomarcador relevante con un biomarcador de referencia al hacer coincidir el espectro de cada señal de correlación con el espectro esperado del biomarcador de referencia correlacionado utilizando una medida de similitud, para definir al menos una señal de correlación positiva; (ii) medir la intensidad de cada señal que se correlaciona positivamente y puntuar su intensidad de señal absoluta y/o relativa; y (iii) aplicar un umbral al valor de puntaje obtenido de una función de similitud para determinar la característica embrionaria correlacionada.
