Abstract

Se describe un catalizador sin cromo para el uso en un reactor de lecho fluidizado. El catalizador comprende 45-70% en peso de Fe2O3, 5-15% en peso de CuO, 20-35% en peso de Al2O3, 10-20% en peso de Zn0 y 1-15% en peso de K2CO3. El catalizador tiene un Índice Davison (DI%) de menos de o igual a 15. Se describe un método para convertir monóxido de carbono (CO) en dióxido de carbono (C02) utilizando el catalizador. El método incluye introducir H20 y CO en un reactor de lecho fluidizado que tiene una temperatura de operación entre aproximadamente 375ºC y aproximadamente 450ºC y que comprende el catalizador sin cromo. La conversión de CO es al menos 60%.
