Abstract
Un método para determinar un bloque de predicción para decodificar o codificar un bloque actual en una imagen actual de un flujo de video. El método incluye obtener un par de vectores de movimiento iniciales, en donde el par de vectores de movimiento iniciales comprende un primer vector de movimiento inicial y un segundo vector de movimiento inicial. El método también incluye determinar si se deben refinar o no los vectores de movimiento iniciales. El método incluye además refinar los vectores de movimiento iniciales como resultado de la determinación de refinar los vectores de movimiento iniciales. El paso de determinar si se deben refinar o no los vectores de movimiento iniciales comprende: i) determinar si un primer esquema de predicción y/o un segundo esquema de predicción está habilitado y ii) determinar si se debe abstener de refinar los vectores de movimiento iniciales como resultado de determinar que o el primer esquema de predicción o el segundo esquema de predicción está habilitado, o determinar refinar los vectores de movimiento iniciales como resultado de determinar que ni el primer esquema de predicción ni el segundo esquema de predicción están habilitados.
