Abstract
Se describen diferentes implementaciones, particularmente implementaciones para codificación y decodificación de video utilizando extensión de bloque para compensación de movimiento de bloque superpuesto. El método comprende: obtener para un bloque actual de una imagen que va a codificarse o decodificarse una porción extendida correspondiente a al menos una porción de un bloque adyacente, la al menos una porción estando adyacente al bloque actual; formar un bloque extendido utilizando el bloque actual y la porción extendida; y llevar a cabo una predicción para determinar muestras de predicción para el bloque extendido.
