Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a composiciones de micropartículas que comprenden un pigmento orgánico absorbente de IR que tiene un máximo de absorción principal en el intervalo de 750 a 1100 nm. La invención también se refiere a un proceso para producir dichas composiciones de micropartículas y a su uso en una tinta de impresión, en particular en una tinta de impresión, que es apropiada para producir una característica de seguridad o un documento de seguridad. Las micropartículas de la composición de pigmento contienen el pigmento orgánico absorbente de IR como partículas sólidas, que están rodeadas o incrustadas en un polímero aminoplástico, que es un producto de policondensación de uno o más compuestos amino y uno o más aldehídos. La composición de pigmento a base de micropartículas se caracteriza por una distribución del tamaño de partícula en base al volumen, determinada por la dispersión de luz estática según la norma ISO 13320: 2009 EN, que tiene un valor D(4.3) en el intervalo de 1.0 a 15.0 µm.
