Abstract
La presente invención es un medio sólido de tratamiento de lubricantes, usualmente pero no siempre en forma de cuentas, que es adecuado para ponerse en contacto con lubricantes para rehabilitarlos y acondicionarlos. Una cualidad clave del medio, típicamente una resina polimérica, es la presencia de poros relativamente muy grandes, los cuales pueden capturar y eliminar contaminantes y productos de descomposición finos de lubricantes (tales como barniz pequeño de éster de fosfato, hollín, coque, metal disuelto u otras partículas semisolubles o insolubles pequeñas), las resinas y los adsorbentes de la técnica anterior han demostrado ser incapaces de eliminar contaminantes finos como barniz de éster de fosfato que tiene un impacto perjudicial sobre el desempeño y confiabilidad de equipo industrial.
