Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un lodo rojo modificado/un residuo de bauxita modificado y también a procesos para la producción del mismo y a un medio de almacenamiento que comprende un lodo rojo modificado, a un medio de almacenamiento de calor que comprende un medio de almacenamiento y a numerosos usos de un lodod rojo modificado como medio de almacenamiento, en particular en un medio de almacenamiento de calor. El lodo rojo modificado contiene los siguientes componentes: hematita (Fe2O3), - corindón (Al2O3), - rutilo (TiO2) y/o anatasa (TiO2), - cuarzo (SiO2), - opcionalmente perowskita (CaTiO3) y - opcionalmente pseudobrookita ((Fe3 +, Fe2 +)2 (Ti, Fe3+)O5), nefelina ((Na, K) [AlSiO4]) y/o hauynite ((Na, Ca)4-8 [Al6Si6O24 (SO4)]), en donde el lodo rojo está sustancialmente libre de Na2O y/o vidrio. Por lo tanto, se proporciona un material nuevo, y se describe su producción para usar como medio de almacenamiento en un sistema sensible de almacenamiento de energía en el rango de temperatura baja, media o alta.
