Abstract

Se describen modalidades de un dispositivo de suministro de aditivo alimenticio, un sistema que comprende una máquina de micro peso y el dispositivo de suministro de aditivo alimenticio, y un método para utilizar el dispositivo y el sistema. Un dispositivo de suministro de aditivo alimenticio ejemplar particular comprendido de una tolva de aditivo alimenticio para suministrar el aditivo alimenticio a una válvula rotatoria. La válvula rotatoria dosifica el aditivo alimenticio desde la tolva a un ensamblaje de soplado pasante que tiene una entrada de ensamblaje que recibe el aditivo alimenticio de la válvula rotatoria, una salida de ensamblaje a través de la cual se dosifica el aditivo alimenticio, y un orificio de aire para retirar aire en el ensamblaje para facilitar la dosificación o administración de aditivo alimenticio a través de la salida de ensamblaje. Una fuente de aire presurizado suministra aire presurizado a la primera y segunda líneas de suministro de aditivo alimenticio acopladas a la salida de ensamblaje, la primera y segunda líneas de suministro de aditivo alimenticio que comprenden válvulas de solenoide independientemente controlables acopladas a una computadora de control de una máquina de micro peso. El accionamiento de las válvulas de solenoide retira el aditivo alimenticio del ensamblaje de soplado pasante y a través de una línea de suministro de aditivo alimenticio. También se describe un sistema que comprende una máquina de micro peso y el dispositivo de suministro de aditivo alimenticio. El sistema es útil para formar en lotes una composición que comprende un alimento para animal y por lo menos un aditivo alimenticio recubierto para animal, un aditivo alimenticio delicado para animal, o combinaciones de los mismos. Para ciertas modalidades del método descritas, los animales son rumiantes, particularmente ganado vacuno en lactación y el aditivo alimenticio recubierto es un producto de metionina recubierto.
