Abstract

El proceso puede comprender alimentar un dispositivo de fusión con material empobrecido y con una fuente de carbono para obtener un producto de múltiples capas y un gas de desgasificación, donde antes de fundir el material empobrecido, la composición del material empobrecido es modificada opcionalmente para obtener una relación de %S/ (%(Cu/2)+%Ni+%Co) de aproximadamente 0.5 hasta aproximadamente 2. Aunque uno de los propósitos principales de los procesos de la presente descripción es recuperar Cu, Ni y Co de materiales complejos, también proporciona medios de recuperación de varios otros metales, incluyendo In, Ge, Pb, Bi, metales preciosos y metales del grupo del platino.
