Abstract
The present disclosure is related to an electrochemical device to generate electrical energy that is activated by means of electromagnetic radiation. Comprising an anode and a cathode, each formed by a converging lens, a filter material, a conductive material and a semiconductor material. Also a separator or membrane between said anode and cathode that operates as an electronic insulator and ion conductor; an electrolyte; a hole for the fuel supply; an input for O2 supply; an H2O output; and a voltage source. The electrochemical device of the present invention operates through redox reactions, which occur at the anode when the fuel is oxidized and a reduction occurs in the cathode, said reaction occurring in an electrolytic medium.
