[Problem] When press-forming a component in which a high-strength metal plate is bent in the longitudinal direction of the component, to suppress the generation of wrinkles resulting from shrinkage flange deformation, and the generation of cracks resulting from stretch flange deformation. [Solution] A method of press-forming a curved component, in which the generation of wrinkles resulting from shrinkage flange deformation of the component, which has a C-shaped or hat-shaped cross section and is curved in the longitudinal direction, is suppressed, characterized in that: the movement, from a flange portion side to a vertical wall portion, of material which is a portion of a blank is restricted, thereby causing the material to move preferentially from a top sheet portion side to the vertical wall portion, while stretch flange deformation is generated in the material; material which is a portion of the blank, sandwiched in a die, is caused to rotate in such a way as to move in the longitudinal direction of the component, while a ridge line forming a boundary between the top sheet portion and the vertical wall portion is being drawn by being caused to incline relative to the press-forming direction, and compressive deformation within the plane of the plate, in the longitudinal direction of the component, is generated by restricting this rotation; and the generation of wrinkles in the material in the flange portion and the top sheet portion is restricted by the die.
