Abstract
The present invention relates to the technical field of the food industry, particularly to the development of industrial degreasers and specifically to a method for manufacturing degreasers with low surface tension by emulsifying biodiesel, which degreasers are for use in the food industry, the method being simple and efficient, as it exclusively comprises steps of mixing, heating and cooling the ingredients without needing methods involving the use of specialised equipment. The present invention also relates to the degreasing product obtained using the method of the present invention, which has low surface tension, low viscosity and an oil-in-water nanoemulsion size of less that 100 nanometres. The present invention further relates to the use of the degreaser obtained using said method, for the removal of mixtures of grease and fatty acids generated in food processing, especially on metal surfaces such as steel, as well as a method for removing grease by applying the degreasing product obtained by means of the present invention.
