Abstract
La presente invención hace referencia a un proceso para la preparación de compuestos de oxirano de la fórmula II a partir de compuestos ceto III usando sulfuro de dimetilo (CH3)2S y sulfato de dimetilo (CH3)2SO4, formando el reactivo IV, metilsulfato de trimetilsulfonio [(CH3)3S+ CH3SO4-], en solución acuosa en presencia de hidróxido de potasio (KOH).
